Described as an “interactive funhouse of style, culture, & technology,” 29 rooms was long awaited by the IG set in Los Angeles. Maybe I’m just too old and/or can’t stand taking 29 selfies, but it just fell flat for me. I admit I had fun and took photos, but def over these fake museums. While I usually appreciate brand-building and marketing, perhaps it was just too much at once. It felt it was supposed to be sincere and authentic, yet the combined effort felt overly commodified. Can I have my money back?
