oahu, part 2: itinerary
In case you missed it, here is Oahu, part 1.Curious about what we did on the trip? Full itinerary below. Taken from August 24 to August 28, 2017 while tropical vacationing it up.
Day 1. Caught an early morning flight to HNL. Went to the Waikiki Farmers Market, saw the sunset at Magic Island and then went to dinner at Highway Inn.

Day 2. Woke up very early to check-out the sunrise. Still early, went to snorkel at Hanauma Bay with Ike’s Hanauma Bay Tours (more of a service than a tour). Made it to the deep parts three times. First, I did really well, then I almost had a panic attack and almost drowned until the BF saved me and finally, I had another freak out but booked it to shore going across the coral like a dumb-dumb. Later that evening, met-up with a my little and her daughter and caught an excellent view of the fireworks.

Day 3. Woke up early (noticing a theme here?) to go sailing in Kāneʻohe Bay. Seriously…it was pretty amazing. Went on the “Guided Holokai Hobie Catamaran Adventure” by Holokai Kayak and Snorkel Adventure, which technically is a nonprofit and provides camps for local children (LOVE) in addition to tours for tourists. I didn’t realize how small the vessel was, but got over any concerns once we were off with Kevin, our fantastic guide. We stopped at a beautiful sandbar in the middle of the ocean and then went to swim with the turtles at a secret spot. Pretty epic! This time, I had on a life vest so I was paddling around like a happy turtle. Finished the evening with a double date with a Waikiki based friend and her hubby at Side Street Inn.

Day 4. Rented a car to go to the North Shore, but did have a quick pit stop for malasadas at Leonard’s, the view at the Nu’uanu Pali Lookout and some baby chicks cuteness and macadamia nut pancakes at Boots and Kimo’s. Saw more turtles at Laniakea Beach, cruised Haleiwa because we couldn’t find parking, except at Hawaiian Island Creations ate yummy scrimps at Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck and stopped by the Dole Plantation. Sneaked a float at Waikiki Beach later that evening and saw another perfect sunset. Went to a nice dinner at Azure. Wanted to go out dancing, but just couldn’t make it happen. We were tuckered out.

Day 5. Really a travel day, but did wake up early, again, for a some sunrise action. They are addicting.

Aloha. What a perfect getaway with one of my favorite loves in the world. ❤
